Jessica and Susan
Jessica and MomYes! Jessica has graduated from 8th grade! Where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday that she was starting kindegarten. Now I have a beautiful young "lady" that looks older and acts, well sometime older and sometimes younger! Susan and I attended the graduation in Yucaipa along with my step-daughter Terri and her husband; Jim and Blanca. It was nice to get to meet some of Jessica's friends. Jessica attended a party directly after the ceremony, so we did not get to see too much of her but we were glad to see her so happy.
After the ceremony Susan and I decided that we would go up and take a looky peeky at the house that Jessica and her dad are living in. We are definately not cut out for spy work! As we were sneaking up on the house, whispering to each other (of course we were in the car!), we decided that we could just drive past as it looked like no one was around. As we drove slowly by (with me craning past Susan to look) we saw Jim standing out front! Of course we sped up and around the corner...into a dead end! Oh well, so much for being subtle! After that fiasco, we decided that we deserved a treat and stopped for dinner at Slim Piggins in Redlands. We had a wonderful dinner and a good ending to our evening!
